Entrance
There are two steps leading up to the main entrance door. The wheelchair accessible group entrance is located to the right in the front garden (follow the arrow on the sign). Bikes can also be parked at this entrance.
After entering the museum, the cloakroom and toilets are located to the left, while the ticket desk is around the corner. The card payment machine at the ticket desk is attached to a long cord, so that it can also be operated from a wheelchair. (This is also the cash desk for the shop and café).
Visitors are required to purchase an admission ticket online in advance. Are you visiting with a companion? You can order a free companion’s ticket by choosing the option 'companion'.
Facilities in the museum
The lift, located diagonally opposite the group entrance, offers access to all floors. Lift measurements: 110 cm (width) x 150 cm (depth). Door opening width: 90 cm.
A maximum of 2 people are allowed in the lift at one time. If you are visiting the museum with your family (or other social unit), you can only use the lift with these people.
The disabled toilet is located on the ground floor, adjacent to the cloakroom. Several wooden threshold strips (max. 1-3 cm) are on the floor between the galleries. The garden is wheelchair accessible, although there are narrow shell paths.
Guide dogs are welcome in the museum and do not need to be registered in advance of a visit. Should you require assistance during your visit, employees at the reception and ticket desk will always be pleased to help.
The museum has foldable seats for visitors who are unable to stand for lengthy periods. These seats are available from the Information Desk. There is no need to reserve a foldable seat.
The museum’s general telephone number is +31 (0)70 – 362 14 34. The line will always be answered by a member of museum staff during opening hours.
